Apply granular pre-em and fertilizer at same time?

Hi All

I have a bag of BALX and Anderson's Barricade. Could I put both of these down at the same time and water in simultaneously? Any negative effects I should be aware of? This is my first year on a lawn care program and I do not want to screw it up at the end of the season!

Have at it, no issues there other than to make sure your rates are appropriate for each area you spread on. I would measure and weigh, then mix the two thoroughly in a bucket or something before putting in the spreader.

I don't know that I would mix granulars together. You will have issues getting them down evenly for each particular app rate and pril size. I would apply them separately and then water them in all at once.

Apply separate... that BALX is gonna be like boulders compared to the pre emergent. Will not spread evenly together.

Thank guys, appreciate the responses.

Sounds like Im on the right track. I was definitely planning to put down the BALX first, then followed up with the Barricade. I dont have irrigation, so this will save me some time watering in both simultaneously.
