I have a Scott's (I know, I know...) and I'm looking for something better. But for an item I use 2-3 times a year, I'm not looking to spend $300+. I'm just getting into this, and I'm looking for one that's consistent. It seems the 2 I looked at have a problem with the shutter staying open or closed.

When I looked at the Echo @HD (online) it has "frequently purchased together" under it and it list a 2 pack of springs. It makes me wonder if that's to fix the shutter issue?

Anyway, if you could guide me towards something decent but not too expensive that would be awesome.

I'm mainly looking to spread fert and my new seed (in the fall time). Thanks, Aceman

My dad sells the Echo RB-60. Its $130 and its pretty damn solid. Rubber wheels, seems to be built with good quality parts and very rigid. I have only owned the $60-80 Scotts spreaders and this one kicks their butts.

the echo 60 feels like it's built for someone that is like 4 feet tall, i helped my dad out the other day, he has one, that thing felt so short and hard on my back pushing it around his whole property, i have a spyker so i guess now i'm use to the upright bars that are adjustable, just food for thought, on a bigger property it's nice to have something easier to push for a while.

I'm in the same boat.

After spending too much time researching, Think I'm close to pulling the trigger on the Titan. My yard is only 4K sq/ft, so I don't need anything crazy: https://www.palletforks.com/workshop/land-equipment/50-lb-professional-broadcast-spreader/890011.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=&scid=scplp890011&sc_intid=890011&gclid=CjwKCAjwjtOTBhAvEiwASG4bCPYBZ7Xbkr1wc-sqtowwVUlH20oI9KBCQm4R98NW-ZPyVwzuW0VMjxoC7SsQAvD_BwE

I have 8K sq ft that I maintain and just went with this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BWZD0O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1.

I have only used it once, but I was able to finish in half the time as my old little Scott's DLX. Quality seems excellent and wasn't an issue weight wise as I moved through the material pretty quickly.
I tried that before. Nice unit but I wasn't tall enough to use it and it was up to my chin. LOL
Anyone tried the bag / shoulder strap ones like this? https://www.amazon.com/EarthWay-2750-Comfortable-Shoulder-Placement/dp/B000XS3EHA/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=fifiQ&pf_rd_p=5fe95cd4-8512-42fa-bf21-63d83b898785&pf_rd_r=4ZBV6NZT0ED875SW5VKK&pd_rd_r=a3b22058-27a5-4b0f-b309-7e1810b472f8&pd_rd_wg=GrPlD&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_atf_m
