Admin,

Are you lawn only or would you be open to discussions on recipes regarding all these weird veggies I'm growing and how to use/preserve them? :)

I started these fleshy veggies and now that they are coming in... well, you know... now what? I know how to pressure-can but still wouldn't know what to do with them.

Do you think you would want to encourage wider chatter or would you prefer to keep to a lawn and garden focus?

That's fine. I love this site and don't want to stray too far off topic from lawns.

Do you worry, though, that if veggie gardens and recipes are allowed... and then flowers and floral arrangements following on... would home decorating not be that far behind?

I would be perfectly happy if you want to reconsider...

Buying store bought cucumbers and making them just wouldn't be the same. There is always next year :D

Mrs. Murphy makes a killer pickle by just buying 5-10 pickling cucumbers and then soaking them in a brine in the refrigerator. So crispy! Then she'll swap in some honey for a sweet and sour thing... maybe add some crushed red peppers for a kick. She would mix in a zucchini or carrot or whatever was left over. They were so good that I planted some.

That's all well and good for a half-dozen store-bought cukes. When you plant them, though, you have 50 of 'em coming straight at ya! Yeeks! :)
