Last month I started plugging and I over seeded my bare areas in my backyard. I have been watering like crazy and the grass is coming in good. My issue is with my existing good area, I just finished mowing and noticed a bunch of yellowing of the leaves on the grass. Could this be a fungus issue considering the humidity and how much watering I have had to do? If so is there anything I can do to fix the issue?

Did you recently change your HOC on the mow? Because to my eye from that picture, I don't see any lesions on the grass blade. I do see a lot of beat up stems and blades, which would make me think that you need to drop your HOC again to scalp it, and let the leaf tissue grow out (because you're removing all the leaves and leaving the stems showing) which would be what would give the yellowish hue to the area. Sharpen your blades too.

Did this show up at once after you mowed, or did it come across in spots? The pictures aren't really conclusive.

@Crimson2v that does appear to be fungal. Dry heat normally will stop a fungal issue for bermuda. I would stay away from adding any nitrogen until it is cleared up. You can try to put down a fungicide app to help stop the progression, but I would just check to see if the weather will do it for you.

I moved my sprinkler to keep it off the older grass and just water the new seed and plugs. What type of fungicide would you recommend? I have seen some granulars and hose end spray types. I hope this doesn't destroy what I have.
