My grass is starting to fill in and look decent but since I'm waiting to get my reel mower repaired I've been mowing with the rotary.

Since I wasn't prepared to use it I haven't sharpened the blades yet this season. Could that be the cause of this discoloration or is it something else?

Took these photos this afternoon. From far away you really can't see it but from up close it looks pretty bad. I mowed this past Sunday so it's been a few days. Any ideas?

That is a reaction to the tearing by the rotary mower. What has this Bermuda been fed with to date? Stress on Bermuda and Zoysia can cause it to display Phosphorus deficiency symptoms. On my lawns, it happens when the temperatures are too low, or there has not been enough sun, or as a reaction to a particularly hot herbicide application.

We have had cold temperatures and torrential downpours until this past weekend.

I fed the lawn some Milo about a month ago. Going to do another treatment this weekend.

I've never seen this before even when I used to cut with my rotary before which is why I was curious.

Thanks!

Maybe do some quick release this time?
