So this is the 3rd time mowing my grass with a BRAND NEW mower. It's a Scag Liberty Z 52 inch with the 23 HP kawi. and im getting results like this.... These pictures were taken 5 days after mowing and I cut my grass at 4 inches everytime. Im not sure whats going on. Ive checked everything from the tire pressure to the deck being level, im just confused. The blades seems like they are sharp. Do you think i should try to sharpen them and really put an edge on them? Help!!! lol

Definitely dull blades. Or maybe on backwards? Either way, something's going on with them!

yea i think im going to take them off and put a little shine on them... which is crazy considering its a new mower with only like 5 hours on it lol...

I always find that you need to sharpen new blades right out of the package or they end up tearing the grass. So the same could be true for a new mower. Definitely give them a sharpen.

I get my mower blade sharper than my axe! I say sharpen in and take it down a notch and mow.

New blades aren't always the sharpest.

Most new blades are like the back edge of a butter knife.. take it off and give it a good sharpening..

Thanks for the help! Once i sharpen them up and cut the grass again i will post some updates!
