Hey all,

Just curious what techniques or products everyone is using to keep bermuda from creeping into their mulch/flower beds?? I was told by a landscaper to use those flat stones, but I've seen bermuda just grow between the cracks and into the mulch beds anyway. A youtube video showing what techniques or products you are using is always appreciated

You can use edging stones. Nothing will control it 100%, but some type of edging will definitely slow down the spread and make it more manageable - maybe once a month spend a few minutes pulling grass/weeds from the bed, from anything that has crept.

I did a stone edging wall last week and it turned out pretty good for $80 I must say.

I can only give theory (I hate bermuda) but pre will club bermuda roots. Interesting paper https://soils.ifas.ufl.edu/media/soilsifasufledu/sws-main-site/pdf/technical-papers/Frank_Jason_Immediate_Release.pdf

Maybe zap topgrowth with pelargonic acid mixed with something along the lines of dithiopyr to prevent new shoots from tacking. Neither is systemic so it won't hurt the lawn grass the shoots are attached to.
