Got some spots in my yard that need some repair and wanted to get some seed.

Just got the house last fall so didn't do the lawn install.

Im about 90% sure its a Perennial Ryegrass & Fine Fescue mix, But i cant really tell if its a 70% Perennial Ryegrass 30% Fine Fescue or 30% Perennial Ryegrass 70% Fine Fescue

And Yes i know my cuts are bad. im in the process of ordering new blades for my mower, Looking at the Gator G6 blades.

Are you sure it's not mainly tall fescue? I could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me.
I'm not really sure, i just looked at a few local sod company's and they both have a 100% Tall Fescue, i just thought the smaller grass blades were a Perennial and the thicker ones was a fescue.

It could be a 100% Tall Fescue though..

It's hard to see the smaller blades in the picture, but the thick blades definitely look like tall fescue to me. Maybe someone that actually has tall fescue could confirm though.
+1. I'm seeing Tall Fescue in the mix, too. It may be a TF/FF mix.

IIRC G5 & G6 blades are the same except that 6's are thicker/heavier, intended for lawn care professionals who sharpen weekly thus extending the life of the blade. If you're using residentially you'd benefit from the lower weight (allowing less strain on bearings and motor) of the G5's with the same cut quality.

Good to know, A buddy of mine just said to get the G6s but hes in the landscaping business.

Looks like G5s are little cheaper too.
