I have never seen a fine bladed, darker green strain that this before! Can anybody ID this? Location is Charleston, SC so it's definitely a warm season grass.
What is this beautiful species?!?

I'm going with rye. It might be in a warmer climate, but it's either close to or in the transition zone (depending who you ask)... overseed maybe?

It's solid turf. It doesn't appear to be an overseed, but I could be completely wrong. Whatever it is, it looks amazing!

Some of the blades appear to have the boat shape of KBG. Complete non expert seeing that though.

It's true. I'm always on my hands and knees looking at grass. The view is much better down low.
