Between my front lawn and back lawn the problems seem to be never ending. My front lawn is starting to get brown patches that I'm guessing is fungus but ive never seen it so I'm not sure. Not sure why though I water at 5:30 a.m 4 days a week to get an inch. If i water less frequently i get a lot of run off

All help is appreciated.

Looks like some type of fungus. Potentially dollarspot/brownpatch. A fungicide should fix it.

Do the big box stores carry ones that work? I have not had much luck with the chemicals i have bought from there.

I'm actually researching and learning all about fungus and fungicides currently so I don't feel I could give you an educated answer just yet on what exactly works.

They mostly have hose-end products, which means they're diluted and more expensive per app. Not to mention that to prevent resistance you need two modes of action, so you need two different products if they even have them (the only thing I could find at Lowe's was propiconazole-based). You might as well get all of your fungicides from a landscape supply store or online at domyown.com.
