I understand that grass "sheds" and that it is an important marker to look for in starting the fall nitrogen blitz. I might have gone past that point here in Massachusetts but it has been such a long, hot summer.

What does it look like? Will I see it sooner or later in shadier areas versus sunnier areas?

Thanks!

I think a lot of people confuse it with thatch, or maybe technically it adds to thatch, but when you are mowing if you bag (eeeks) you'll see the brown blades, and if you mulch well I dunno you might notice it. But the weather has been odd for us, it was 10-15 degrees cooler a week ago, and now its hot and humid again. But I might kick it into gear soon myself out of boredom =P
