Let me start off by saying that I am a total beginner at all of this. I purchased my house a little over a year ago and I have managed to turn my lawn into what my neighbors say "the best it's ever looked" and "the best looking lawn on the street" which isn't saying much since everyone else's lawn is horrible to say the least(but I am proud of the progress). The only products I've ever used on my lawn are lesco pre emergent and Milorganite. So A little background on the situation. I've been working a lot the past month and a half and didn't have time to mow my lawn. So finally when I did mow I saw these dead spots on my grass and can't figure out why they're there. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary besides letting the grass get super tall during that month and a half. I've still watered twice a week a half inch each time and it's just this part of my lawn that has these dead spots. Any one what could have caused this and how to fix it?

This is what is looked like before the brown spots

Looks like scalp marks to me which can happen if you don't mow bermuda regularly in the heat of the Summer. Try taking the mower up a notch or two and see if it improves or not. Also looks like your lawn is uneven and could use some sand to help alleviate the issue.

Thanks for the replys. I'll definitely raise my mower a bit and sharpen blade to see if this helps out. Yeah it is uneven and I just read the thread on how to level it with sand and it seems fairly easy.
