Checkout this weird fungus that has popped up in my fescue. I am in KC and we have had hot muggy days. I rubbed some of this off the blade and it feels like a slimy mushroom growing in the blade. What is it? Will it damage the lawn? Will traditional fungicide (I use Fame) control it?

That looks like slime mold and it's mostly harmless
