For the darker green weed, is this some kind of variant of crabgrass? I have never seen the center hollowed out like that. Also, it doesn't have the spoke-wheel look of goosegrass either. I am located in North Alabama incase that impacts potential answers.

It very well could be a variant. I did a quick google search and it looks like it has the same spread as crabgrass and it can also be that dark green/bluish color too. I would also say quackgrass, but that stuff is a lighter green from my limited knowledge.

Sorry I can be 100% sure in my answer, but I'm eager to see what the pro's say.

Same. It's right over the property line so it's my neighbors yard. I just hadn't ever seen anything, aside from goose grass, where the center is hollowed out.
