Watering in foliar fertilizer

This is my first year spraying urea at 0.2# / 1000 sq Ft. on Bermuda every week. I’ve been spraying in the evening and watering the next morning on my normal irrigation schedule which is about 1/2” of water, 2 times per week.

Due to other commitments, I’m about to get off schedule. How much water is really needed, if any, after applying foliar fertilizer? I’m trying to get my turf to grow in and get thicker, but I also don’t want fertilizer burn. Maybe I just skip a couple weeks of fertilizer.

what do you all recommend?

You have a lot more flexibility with urea and it shouldn’t burn Bermuda at .2lbsN/1000sf. I wouldn’t worry about it and just stick to your irrigation schedule as much as possible. If you were using ammonium sulfate I would skip a spray if not able to water it in.
