I'm not having any luck finding a vertticutter to rent locally in the OKC area. Does anyone use the slice seeders at the big box stores or a power rake with flail blades? I have hybrid bermuda grass that is reel cut at .40 and is getting too thick.

I use to rent the Classen seeder they have at HD before I got mine. It should do what you are looking for as it has the fixed blades.

i used a slicer / seeder version - posted here somewhere. it wasn't overly abusive - lawn still looked relatively good after. the tifgrand, you could still see darker green lines 4 weeks later (those of us with a trained eye).
