On my Toro Flex the sproket is all one piece with the flats pictured. The 1600 might be different, but it'll need to be tightened either way.
Toro 1600 removed transport axles possible problem
I removed the transport axles today without a hitch but noticed something that doesnt seem right.
The right side of the mower(standing behind it) transport axle came off easy with a breaker bar and a cresent wrench on the nut on the drive gear
The left side of the mower had some issues. When I held the nut on the gear and spun the transport axle, the drive drum spun. Moved the cresent wrench to the flat on the drive drum axle and the transport axle came. The nut/retaining hub that holds the gear on is loose.
Does that nut need to be bottomed out/tightened up?
