Is it possible to put down to much Milorganite? I have been throwing down a bag every 15th day to stimulate growth and watering regularly.
I've got St. Augustine as well. I read somewhere in the past, hitting St. Augustine with too much Nitrogen can cause disease. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. If this is the case, I'd like to know how that would happen.

I think it is because too much of the available energy is spent on new growth instead of the established part of the grass and root system leaving it more susceptible to drought and disease. I am still trying to learn so don't take that as gospel. LOL

Milo is a great St. Augustine fertilizer IMO. I'd like to see a cleaner feed stock formula but it works well. Can't really use too much. You'd wear yourself out trying to push enough N to cause problems. If you have problems with St. Augustine and all you are using is Milo, the problems are being caused by something else.

In my experience, the only issue with putting down so much Milo in such a short amount of time is that it still takes time for your soil microorganisms to break down the material and convert it to N for your grass. I would wait 30 days to see how the last few applications change your lawn and adjust from there.
