Does anyone here have Tifway 2? Id like to see if it matches my Bermuda.

Don't know. I was told by the nearest sod farm that they wee selling ,Tifway 2 in 2013 when my home was built. The farm is less than 5 miles away so I'm assuming the builder used them.

Have you considered plugging the area with plugs from your existing lawn? Cheap, slower, but guaranteed match.

Yes I have and I guess I don't have the most confidence that the spot will heal well. I transplanted some springs today.

In my experience these hybrids will spread an incredible amount in a full growing season, thick growth like a piece of sod after a few months.

Hate to bring up an old thread, but I figured I'd ask if anyone has had experience with the Tifway II?

The house I am currently in contract to purchase has Tifway II (based off the sod farm used). I've read (from limited resources) that it is slightly courser leaf blade than Tifway 419. I was kinda hoping for a finer blade, but I haven't gotten a chance to see it out of dormancy to have a personal opinion on it.
