So I had some sod installed in my yard that is currently 1 week old. The turf seems to be taking and rooting very well, and I have been watering twice/day. I laid my first fert application this weekend and the sod seems to have responded nicely.
With the rest of my front yard mowed at 5/8", I am eager to start mowing this as well to get it level with the rest of the yard.
When is it ok to begin mowing sod? Is one week old sod too early? Also, besides water and fert, any other recommendations for young sod?
