We just moved in March.
I had common bermuda and loved it so now I'm excited to have a respected hybrid.
I don't hate the smaller yard (~1,600 ft in total). It'll be fun to mow with my manual reel.
This yard sucked. It was totally neglected for many, many years other than regular mowing. It was about 85% weeds and 15% centipede. Two tall pines shade the right side of the lawn, which I will not worry about for now.
I wouldn't say that the sod wasn't in the best shape...but they had to source it from Alabama so I guess it was to be expected. The two pallets (900 sq ft) covered the area perfectly. Only three rolls leftover, which I laid in a shadier spot by the road for an expirement.
The backyard is a different story. There's a large live oak...probably a project for next year.
Ok! For now, it's just watering and some starter fert soon. Exciting times!!
