So far so good! When do we get a glimpse of what you’ll be working with in the backyard? Any idea what your air and soil temps are currently?

You're too kind haha
It's a mix of centipede and st aug.
I've knocked out most of the weeds, but I don't devote a lot of time to that area.

I think it gets enough afternoon sun to convert it to TifTuf eventually, but I may need to get the pines professionally trimmed.
Oh ok. Yeah that might be a fun project, hopefully you have a pro plugger and have another new lawn this summer. Tif Tuf can handle “some" shade I believe...

Back to 1 1/8" on Saturday and had some decent clippings after just two days.
Sprayed another .115 lbs of N on Saturday evening, watered in Sunday morning. I've been doing this every Saturday.
Should I be spraying more like .20 lbs per week? Should I be spreading prills at a heavier rate?
I'm about to be on the receiving end of ALL the Celebration spriggs I could possibly want.
Dammit if I know what to do with them! Should I try the other side of the middle walkway?
Maybe the little strip to the left of the house? I don't think I'd want to get that much water on the house and soffit when watering spriggs. Thoughts?

She’s looking beautiful and happy. Keep doing what you are doing.

Applied .225 oz of Primo Maxx last night with 3/4 oz of FEature in 1.5 gallons of water.
Hoping to work up to .3 or .35 for next app in about two weeks.
Received .5" of rain this morning. Couldn't get a mow in. Maybe tonight. I'd hate to have to pull out the rotary for HOC reset given we may receive 2+ inches of rain tomorrow.

And, the Rye is essentially gone.

Dude it looks great, wish I had your temps. My Tahoma plugs are in mostly cloudy 65Âş days. Still lots of seedheads in my turf.

After getting on the ground with the tape measure, I noticed that I actually "scalped" to around 5/8"
I now have the earthwise set to .75" for a nice low cut going forward.
I need to spot level a few areas right now while it's low to make mowing easier (mainly around the edges).

Below is a picture of celebration bermuda from our local sports field. This kind of thickness is my goal, and they do not use PGR!

Yours is looking tremendous for a push reel cut.

I've got all the free celebration spriggs I could want.
They verticut the local track and field and I took home a bag yesterday.
Snatched one more bag today to finish the job.

For some reason, the right side of the lawn isn't filling in well.
Thoughts are there was just so much rye there and when I scalped last week there was too much build up of dead rye and bermuda clippings.
I scratched it up with a plastic rake last night and mowed at 1" this morning.

Sun should be good....I've documented full sun from 1 PM to 7 PM.
Pine roots sucking up the water??
Or perhaps, I just need to lay off the PGR!!

Any ideas?

Way to go snagging some sprigs. I love bermuda!

Something's gotta give...
After just 48 hours it appeared to be begging for a mow.
The .28 oz dose of PGR is apparently no match for the high temps and Urea i put down over the weekend. I'd really prefer to cut every 3-4 days right now.
I plan to skip spoon feeding this weekend and may go with .4 on PGR for next app.
Currently at just 152 on the GDD schedule.
Applied Bifen granules and sprayed Suspend Polyzone last night.

Possible tip burn on the left side of the picture. A few leaves are bright yellow. I might have applied to much Urea to that area. No idea...

Do you have any idea what your soil temps are? Mine are just barely hitting the 80Âşs the past week, from the low 70Âşs the prior week. My Tahoma and Tifgreen are still slow to grow.

I’m lovin’ 1”
Did the typical weekend cocktail of Urea and FEature. Applied at full label rate of PGR last night along with Heritage SC fungicide.
Mowed this morning. Good thing because I noticed it really taking off at 252 GDD.
Trying to mow every 4 days now.

It’s really looking elite, and all from a push reel. Did you have to do anything with yours out of the box to get below 1”? My Greenworks bottoms out at an inch but I think there are two bolts I can move so it will go even lower. Did you have to do that?

The Celebration sprigs have definitely rooted. This was a poorly managed flower bed with a strip of Centipede on the side. I'm hoping it will spread further down.

Everyone needs a little bermuda plant (TifTuf) to experiment on and use when needed:

Even with PGR, after two days of rain, a mow could be had:

Hey man I know it sucks, but you gotta mow :D
Will be interesting how that Celebration compares to TifTuf. Does that area get full sun throughout the day?

New toy created an accidental HOC reset.
I’m not mad about it. PGR rebound should kick in soon.
16” Greenworks rotary (mainly for the centipede and St Aug)
What’s most disappointing is just how bad I need to sand level. Not a huge job. I just have to convince my wife it needs to be done. Probably next May.
