Planning to apply tenacity for the first time tomorrow and looking for a little guidance.
My lawn is surrounded by shrubby/herbaceous borders, hedges and I have a couple of perennial geraniums that creep onto the lawn (in a good way). I carried out a few test runs this evening to try out different nozzles and get an idea of spray patterns and water volumes with each. I noticed with all of them there was some inevitable misting and a high chance of a little bit of overspray/drift onto desirable plants around the lawn area - unless of course I keep a very wide berth (10”-12”) which won’t be ideal for covering the lawn in certain areas.
I’m planning to apply at the 5floz rate as my lawn is a ryegrass/fine fescue mix.
So the question is how careful do I need to be about a small amount of overspray/drift onto these desirable plants? Is there a high risk that even a small amount of contact will kill them or is it unlikely to kill well established plants?
Appreciate there will be the standard smartasses who say things like ‘just don’t get overspray’ or ‘it’s a herbicide it’ll probably kill anything that’s not turf’ - but hoping to get some practical feedback from others experiences too..
