I have a few small spots that developed slowly in July/Aug. and are now totally dead except for some surviving grass in the middle of one. Pretty sure it's Summer Patch disease. Same areas and similar timing each year. Nothing underneath like rocks.
I hear it spreads over time. My question is, does replacing the soil get rid of the disease totally so it'll stop coming back each year? If so, how deep would I need to remove it? And what do you do with the removed soil?
Anyone tried this approach?
