For those with a spyker p40 push spreader, how often do you grease the gears?

Spreading fert last night at my house, i noticed that the gears were making a little noise, took it to the house and starting greasing it

gave it 5-6 good pumps, but no grease came out anywhere (like it was full)

Just curious if this is a couple pumps of grease everytime i use it or keep pumping grease until it comes out?

Just curious as the manual doesnt say how many time to grease or how often. I just says was and oil the spreader after each use

I usually just lube mine a couple times a year or if it starts making sounds like yours was making. Just keep adding grease until the sound goes away.

I have greased mine 2x so far this year. It doesn't seem like it needs to be greased every time. A few pumps should be all it needs. Did the noise go away? If not, the spyker gears have a lifetime warranty.

yes it went away right away. Only made the noise when i had a bag of fert in it.

I gave it about 6 pumps of grease and then walked with it empty for a while

Seems to be fine, but i read the owners manual and no where does it say how much grease and how often. I guess ill give it a couple pumps of grease every time i use it to be safe

You shouldn't have to lube it every time you use it, just give it a couple of pumps every month or so and you should be fine.
