Spreaders which don't empty

I'm no expert on spreaders, having only owned a Scotts and a Spyker, but there seems to be one design flaw common to both of them, the last bit of fertilizer requires stupid amouts of jiggling about to get rid of. Is there a spreader which doesn't do this?

I was trying the weigh it out and spread until empty method so it's particularly annoying not to be able to properly spread the last bit.

I usually do the "spreader hop" drill, then blast out whatever little bit is left into the lawn with the leaf blower.
