They are building a large gas station/convenience store/pizza place at a major intersection near me. Yesterday they layed about 10K to 12K square feet of bermuda sod. It's 25 degrees right now. It's proof positive that bermuda grass can be put down anytime. The trick is to get someone to cut sod at this time of the year.

When my house was built, they laid sod in January and it greened up just fine come Spring time. I think as long as you give it some water once the temps start to rise, it will be just fine. Plus it's bermuda, so all you really need is one stolon to survive to cover the whole area :lol:

Not an expert, but the guy that lay my sod said that it needed to go down with plenty of time to root before going dormant, otherwise to wait until after the sod went dormant. There is a short window where it can hurt the sod without sufficient time to root in well. Laying it dormant is always fine.
