I've been noticing a lot more spurge popping up in my yard as of late. I'll admit, I've been busy and life has gotten somewhat in the way of my lawn care, so I haven't been able to mow as frequently or address any weed breakthrough. However, I'll also note this is the first time I've really had any substantial amount of weeds pop up, other than some sedges here and there from being super wet a good bit of the summer. All of those were mitigated pretty well with an application of Outrider (Certainty) about a month ago. That was the last time I sprayed anything other than t-nex or bifen. So my first question is, does spurge usually always get worse in late summer? Also, as you can tell in the pic, it's all growing in a line that happens to be where it's higher and my mower scalped sometimes. Did that cause the breakthrough?
Lastly, as the subject states, should I try to spray and kill it, or just try to pull most of it until next year? It isn't nearly as hot as it has been in recent weeks. I was going to hit it with some MSM turf. I also have 3-way or MSMA on hand. I haven't done much research specifically on treating spurge, so I'm not sure if any of those will work. I usually just blanket spray everything, so I try to keep costs down, but I do have one bottle of Celsius on hand. I don't think it will matter, but I'll also be treating my areas of 419 and common Bermuda as well. But the pic and the majority of the spurge is in the Celebration section. Thanks for any help and direction.
