Seeding Bermuda - first soil test

Hey y'all,

I got my first soil test back from Clemson the other day and it was about what I expected but with a few surprises. I have roughly 3,000 sqft and have 2 - 1,000 sqft sections of centipede and another 1,000 sqft section that I have begun killing off with glyphsate to plant Arden 15 seed towards the end of May.

Obviously my ph of 5.5 is not ideal for bermuda and I plan to correct that before seeding. Clemson recommends 75lb/1,000 of dolomitic limestone. Does this amount seem normal? Is there a maximum amount that should be put down at any given time? Is there a preferred brand of this product that is utilized on this forum?

Secondly, I noticed that my phosphorous levels are off of the charts. Knowing that starter ferts are higher in phosphorous should I still use one when seeding? Or acknowledge that my soil is already high in phosphorous and go with a balanced fertilizer at seeding instead?

Thanks in advance for any help/input!

Do you know what test methods they use?

Lime - 50lb/ksqft now. The rest in 6 months.

You need potassium. Check the soil remediation guide for choices.

You don't need phosphorus.

You do not need any fertilizer at seed down. Once it is growing, all it needs is nitrogen.
