Team,

So I am trying to do the math so I can order some sand in bulk to level out my lawn! Not sure how to go about this, but the surface area I am trying to level is broken down as follows:

Estimate:
~1700⏍ (Right side of driveway)
~700⏍ (Left side of driveway)
~2400⏍ (Total lawn surface area)

*I presume I will utilize the rough numbers as opposed to the exact numbers in order to easily calculate how many yards of sand I need.

Exact measurements:
1,613⏍(Right side of driveway)
628 ⏍ (Left side of driveway)
2,381⏍ (Total lawn surface area)

So what do you guys think I am estimating 2 to 2 1/2 yards of sand? Any thoughts?

I just did my first level May 22nd, everything I read here recommended 1 yard per 1000 sq ft. Based on your numbers Id say you need 4.5 yards. I come up with 4,622 for your total area. If your yard is pretty level already and you just want to top dress for a little smoothing then you could use less. My yard after spreading, pulling the drag mat, and broomnig it in swallowed it all up. The area i did was 4k and i got 4 yards delivered. Pictures of my level are here: https://thelawnforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1733&start=140#p60633
