Our sand cherry just got invaded with Japanese beetles. It really did a number on it! Didn't notice until it was a little late. We got rid of the beetles for now but what can be done with the damage? Should we trim off the dead leaves? Now the leaves are all starting to fall off! It look very sad right now compared to a few weeks ago. Is there any fertilize we can to help it out?

I've got 3 purple sand cherry trees in my backyard. I had extensive damage to the leaves a few years ago. I didn't do anything. Next year they came back fine. We just had a small invasion of Japanese beetles recently. I spent an hour with my son brushing them off the burning bushes and then smashing them!
