Rye grass for shaded area?

Hi all,

I'm looking to replace my fesuce in the backyard with something I can cut with a reel mower. I live in Atlanta and get anywhere between 3-5 hours of sunlight depending on the location and was wondering if there is a type of rye grass or something else that might do well in that little of sunlight, other than fescue?

Thanks in advanced and I look forward to hearing any suggestions.

Fine Fescues can be cut low. It is used on Fairways (mostly in Europe) but I am not sure it will be able to handle your climate.
I realized this very late when I was scalping an area for overseed. It looked very decent after being cut down to 1-1.5" on a rotary mower. Wish I knew that before.

It hates hot weather though. Needs 70s or lower to stay and grow.
