Got a plate compactor and went to town on the green in the 30 mph+ winds. I have some final grading to do tomorrow and will plant my bent Monday or Tuesday when the wind isn’t blowing.
Yes I did use a drop spreader for the bent.Did you use a drop spreader to hopefully prevent bentgrass from ending up showing up in your kbg?
I mow the front and side yards with the Hudson about 5,000 sq feet. How much of your yard do you mow with the Hudson Star?
How long does that typically take you? I’ve got about a 10,000 sq ft reel mower section so trying to get an idea of the time requiredI mow the front and side yards with the Hudson about 5,000 sq feet.

I am pumped! Do you recommend waiting the full 3 weeks from seeding date or should I play it by ear?Looking great! You excited as I am for the first cut?
Just depends on the growth. All the recommended material says to cut once it's over 1/4 inch but you also don't want the mower to tear up the roots. I assume your small push mower will be better. I went straight on with the gm1000 since it said to roll and I didn't have the HOC adjusted high enough so there was a couple spots that pulled out since the bed knife dragged since the reel wasn't engaged. If I didn't do that then everything would have been fine.I am pumped! Do you recommend waiting the full 3 weeks from seeding date or should I play it by ear?
