I swear this is for a friend and not me. I'm not killing off my yard.

<4K ft^2

The wife told me they killed of their yard (I saw pics it's dead) and they have run a rototiller over some of some of it. I said running a rototiller over it is probably a bad idea. They said they have found all kinds of stuff due to tilling it up. Screwdrivers, beer cans, all sizes of rock, etc. etc.

If they are finding all kinds of crazy stuff in the dirt is tilling it up a good idea?

Thanks.

If they are finding crazy stuff like that, it might not be a bad idea to keep going but I would go the extra step and once everything is broken up to go over the lawn with at least a lawn roller or even a plate compactor(that might be too extreme though).

When she first said they tilled it I said I probably wouldn't have done that but when she told me about all the crap they were pulling up I said it would probably be a good idea.
