Big fan of the Rev 26. Well done @Reelrollers. Can’t decide if I should skip the Tru-Cut/ McLane phase or not haha. The Rev 26 just has so many small fixes that add up to big changes in the user experience. Especially that roll bar 🤩
If you want to buy new, skip the entry phase. If you do want to experiment with powered reel mowing first, then I would get a used trimmer or tru cut for $750-$1200. Use it for a year and sell it for probably the same price you bought it for. It will help you realize what size mower you want and which features are most important to you. Then you can go back into the market and find the best mower for you based on your lawn size, your height, access to a shop who grinds reels, and other factors like storage space, transporting mower frequency, and if you want the wife/ kids helping mow and their safety.

Some really great advice. My yard has a decent slope both in the front and in the back, how do the Tru-Cuts handle those hills? The Rev 26 rear roller idea I thought was genius. When I saw the Swordman before the Rev 26 for the first time, I said to myself, those stripes are super nice but there is no way that will work for my lawn and keep a straight line. If I was to look at Facebook Marketplace for example, do you have any resources for what to look out for when buying used?

Thanks again!

Tru cut is a great mower for climbing slopes

Excited for everyone! I can't wait to see everyone's yards this summer. I hope I can jump on the next iteration of the mower.

Why not make a FB account to access the info you want? It’s not like you have to post anything FB in order to use it.
