Almost about to pull the trigger. Just want opinions. The guy selling it is probably on here, so... TLF discount?

McLane 21". ~2006. Blades were sharpened and it was completely serviced last year as well. I was hoping it was a 25", it was a mistype on CL. It's about an hour + drive, so I don't want to make it until I'm more positive about it. Here's some photos from the interwebs.

$350 worth it? Or no?

I'm guessing that is a 5 blade reel. May not ever make a difference, but could affect the cut quality. I would also pay more for a Honda engine than a B&S. I would bet it could be had for $200.

350? I'd offer 225 at best. But every area is different demand. In Atlanta mclanes go for far less because market is saturated with them. You could get a decent trucut for that price here.

I'm in OKC. The availability for mclanes are lower, but always for sale on CL... We have a ton of JD for sale north of the city...

I would count them to be sure if you go see it. The 7 blade reel is just more "in demand", so you could use a 5 blade reel as a negotiating tool, or you might decide you don't want it depending on your anticipated height of cut.

One tip that I might recommend - When I went and looked at the GM1000 I was buying, I did a paper test right in front of the guy. If it doesn't cut, that is a bargaining tool.
