Never seen so much rain!!!
Middle Tennessee has had 9 inches or rain since Feb 1st and we are forecast to have 6 more inches between now and Sunday.
I think i am going to have to put down more pre- emergent next month.
Multiple downpours with my yard submerged 3 times already.
Put Oxy/Ronstar down on Monday. probably waist of money :(
On Monday the forecast was light rain the rest of the week.
Today forecast is to start building Noah's Ark.
Any advice as to when to put down another app?

Try your extension agent and don't mention the oxadiazon to them.

It finally stopped here, but there is more in the forecast. Every native tree in my backyard sits in a depression similar to this. I'm assuming they brought a lot of dirt in when they built the house and had to create these depressions to prevent killing the trees.

This happens every spring and usually takes a day or two to drain out. I've considered installing a drain, but it's never really mattered because it doesn't seem to hurt the trees and grass won't grow under them anyway. I have also considered planting a bunch of dwarf Mondo in the depressions as it doesn't grow very tall, does quite well in the shade, and can be grown as an aquatic plant.

Hope you're ready for more rain.

Any idea on the length of control for oxadiazon? Is it by length of time or GDD? I've seen info suggesting I can be applied earlier in the spring than prodiamine, which made me think it's breakdown was driven by either temp, or microbes that become active at a certain temp.

Subscribed.

I used ronstar and have been extremely pleased with my weed control.

Very few at all and mostly beer where weed pressure is higher from neighbors or runoff.

Applied it in sept and then in late feb I think

The manufacturer for ronstar says "season long" control. I wasn't sure if that meant 3-4 months or a different amount entirely.
