I'm contemplating pulling the trigger on a powered backpack sprayer, but have a couple questions...

-Can you store a battery operated sprayer (not the battery itself, obviously) in a shed all year? It might go above 100 in the Summer, and to -10 in the Winter. If not, should it be stored inside?

-How much time might it save over a hand can due to not having to stop and pump, assuming you use the same amount of water in both?

Thanks to whomever replies!

I don't think you will be disappointed. Pumping is overrated.

It won't have a problem in 100f weather or -10f. Mine sits in my garage and it routinely can get 90+ in summer and freezing in winter. I've had no problems. As long as it's kept dry and not shoved in sand or something you will be fine.

It'll be fine in the shed. Just make sure you drain the tank and the hose before freezing temps hit in the winter time.

It depends on the size of the area that you're spraying. If it's a small area, not much. A larger area it'll save a bit of time. If you're spraying the 15k sq feet you have listed in your profile, I'd want a powered backpack sprayer at a bare minimum, but would probably opt for something larger like the Gregson Clark sprayer. I have 7500 sq ft and it was a chore to do all of that by hand with a single wand/nozzle, but there are plenty of members here who do.

Thanks to everyone. Last night, I ordered a Chapin 4 gallon 20V backpack sprayer. Something tells me this thing is really going to be worth it, with two 12-15K lawns to spray a few times this month.
