hello, question around applying prodiamine. i did a KBG reno on 8/22 and it came in well but a ton of poa a came through last month or so. it's a lot. i put down prodiamine a week ago and have been hand pulling the poa a. since ive been pulling all this poa, theres been a ton of bare spots left behind.

i want to reseed in the spring, but that would mean that i need to miss a prodiamine app, right? should i just let it be and hope the KBG spreads by itself and apply the prodiamine as normal? there are clumps of bare spots that are 8-12in in diameter.

Any pics? My first suggestion would be to get a ProPlugger and use it to transfer plugs from your denser areas into the large bare spots. For any small bare spots, let them fill in by themselves in the spring with some help from nitrogen. Seeding in the spring should be a last resort, in my opinion, unless it's really bad. You won't want to skip that spring pre-m.

I have a lot of poa a in my reno. Tried hand pulling but there is just too much. I'm doing a round of frequent tenacity apps at a low rate to smoke as much poa as possible before winter. It's much easier to kill while it is young and pre-wintered. Depending on how bad it is in the spring, I might continue tenacity or go with my backup plan, ethofumesate. The summer heat should kill a good bit of it and solid pre-m barrier will prevent all the seeds from germinating again in the fall. My steps are documented in my journal.
