We're going to have to see how this situation develops...
History: Back in the mid and late Fall (November, mostly), I experimented with spot-sprayed low rate Tenacity multiple times, once per week, in a bunch of spots, mostly on newly-overseeded lawn areas. Tenacity usually isn't recommended in late Fall. Anyway, the spots started going brown around the beginning of December. By the end of December, we had a major 2-week cold snap. It didn't get above 20F or so for about two weeks. After that, the spots were totally straw colored.
And that's how the spots still are now...gray. We'll see what happens over the next few weeks. The grass is either dead or dormant. It could be a case of herbicide-induced dormancy. We'll see.
Now, you're probably wondering why I did this. I did it because I had spots of Poa Triv, and I didn't want them getting a foothold in late Fall and early Spring. Tenacity isn't labeled for killing Poa Triv, but my experience is it can suppress it to a degree.
I'll post photos soon.
