My lawn has a bad outbreak of Poa Annua this year. I overseeded last fall with SSS 9000 PRG blend and planned to do some more this spring so didn't apply PreM..... Yes, I know. About 1/2 the lawn is seed the contractor put down (new house build last year) and half from me with the certified PRG seed. As a result, many areas that I hadn't seeded myself have a lot of weeds and a ton of Poa plants. I have spot treated the weeds with good success but the Poa is going strong. I know in a month or so the Poa will die off and leave me with some nice bare scars on the lawn. I could dig them up (probably 20+ areas alone in the front yard) and re-seed now, or wait for it to die off and try to seed in the summer with little success. Or wait to overseed in the fall to repair the areas and try to limit the new growth with PreM next spring? What would you do? Looking for opinions, I'm sure many of you have been here before. Thanks!

You could use a combo of ethofumesate and mesotrione. This should give you about a month of control as a preemergent with a 1-2 week reseed interval. Then, if after 2 weeks of growth, you don't have enough roots, reapply for another month of control before you apply Prodiamine or whatever you prefer for longer term preemergent.

I am in the same boat with Poa, I have hit it with Tenacity 3x at 10 day intervals. The Poa is looking sick, but has not died. The good news is, it looks like some KBG is starting to come up in the areas of weak Poa. Hopefully this will limit my bare Poa spots in a month. I plan on PreM in mid August. No overseeding this year for me.
