I'm looking for people to post up pics of their yard w mixtures of roughly 80/20 tttf and kbg to see what it looks like. Thanks

Check out my journal linked in my signature below for more photos showing my 80/20 mix. I got my seed from SSS and spread the KBG and TTTF separately. Here's a close up with the grass at about 4" tall and my daughter laying in it. This particular spot gets a fair amount of shade. Been keeping height between 3.5" and 4.5" all summer.

I couldn't tell you exactly how much KBG is in there now, but it seems the TTTF has been dominating so far. Between keeping it taller and summer heat I think conditions have favored the fescue more, but the ratio may shift as the KBG spreads this fall and spring. I will say though that my TTTF has actually been spreading already and filling in bare spots through real rhizomes.

@occamsrzr thanks, these photos are from living in Nebraska; however, the University of MN has quite a few plots and a few test areas on campus that have overwintered very nicely in all conditions except for ice cover. The TTTF does very well with salinity along roadsides as well.

Yeah, the ice cover has me a bit worried in a couple spots. Hope the KBG will fill in just in case.

What height did you cut that TTTF/KBG mix at? I've been keeping mine as 1.75" for the grow in but want to go lower if the TTTF tolerates it.
