Yup, it does exist.

I didn't know PGS (the opposite of PGR) existed until today. Here's an example of a PGS: https://www.winfieldunitedpro.com/winfieldprofessionalproducts/media/download_docs/SellSheets/Gravity-PSG-SS_v2.pdf?ext=.pdf
It's Called Gravity PGS.

Now I'm curious, why might a PGS (plant growth stimulator) be used on turfgrass? Most of us are interested in mowing less, so if anything we would maybe use a PGR to slow down the growth. But what are some reasons or applications for using a PGS?

I think one of our members got a free sample of that last fall. It's used during seeding I believe to speed up establishment.
Interesting Sounds like maybe it's used to push past that lag phase where the seed doesn't produce top growth. I wonder if there are any detrimental consequences to that.

Or if there are any other uses, other than seeding.

We discussed this last year on this thread.

I could see a golf course wanting to get an area fixed and back into a playing surface fast might want this.
