I did my first ever application of T-nex PGR on dew covered grass the morning of 6/28. My plan was to put down .25oz/K PGR on my front 4k yard, along with with Feature 6-0-0 1oz/K. I used my chapin 20v 4 gal sprayer. So I was only going to need 1oz of PGR total to get my .25oz rate. I did not have my glasses on, first mistake, and later realized I had poured 2oz in my measuring cup. So I ended up applying .5oz/K. I hope I didn't set my lawn back. I feel like the grass hasn't grown a millimeter since I applied. I was cutting every other day to keep my HOC, which is roughly 1.25" now. Had been maintaining at .75" but we had rain for so many days, a week or so ago, I had to miss a couple cutting days and ended up raising my HOC. Lately I always have seed heads after a couple days, but there are none now (seed head suppression!). The lawn looks good, but I have noticed others who said that this amount set the lawn back. I don't plan to apply that much again, just wondered if anyone has thoughts on anything I should do since I applied that much?

Nothing you can do but wait it out. A stronger dose of pgr will not suppress growth more then the recommended amount. The only thing some people have seen is some yellowing of the grass. If you have not seen yellowing then I believe you are fine.

My experience with 419 has been that the yellowing is almost immediate (24 hours post application - on a hoc of .5") That picture leads me to believe that you're good to go - can't say that I've ever seen yellowing on turf higher than 1". While that rate is pretty high, I wouldn't be too concerned.

@cnet24 thanks, that helps ease my mind as well. I cut the front tonight, 5 days after application and only had 4 handfuls of clippings or about 1/3 of a bag.. that is awesome for waiting 5 days! I love this stuff! I'm following GDD so I can keep track

The t-nex label does mention that you can put up to double the label rate for suppression for up to 8 weeks. You should be fine. I was a bit lax on my first app and didn't notice my tip was clogged about halfway through which sprayed in heavy streams. I reapplied at full labe rate all over and swear I didn't have any growthoughts for 2 weeks.
