Hi, everyone!
I often come here and reach out to all of you fine folks when running into problems while on the yard, and I think it's important for myself, and everyone really, to take a moment and be thankful for the things that are going right in both life and on the lawn!
Laid down Palmetto St. Aug sod in November and boy was it rough! The guys I hired said they'd make the new sod "blend in seamlessly" with the existing portions of grass. Well, not so much lol. The new sod was noticeably over an inch and a half higher off the ground than the existing grass and was overall an eyesore. Not to mention that the entire lawn got hit with large patch for the better portion of Nov - Feb.
But tried my best to stay positive. Worked on slowly leveling the lower parts of my lawn, put down fungicide (azoxystrobin and propiconazole), sprayed with RGS and Humic12. All of that was easy, the hardest part was being patient!
It definitely paid off though, at least in this part of the lawn next to my neighbor's house. Still struggling a bit on my main stage, but wanted to share these before and after pics with you all. It is nice and thick, popping green and even striping (yes, I was once a believer that St. Aug couldn't stripe... I've happily been proven wrong)!
Just wanted to spread some lawn positivity and maybe hope to inspire anyone who's struggling right now. It's always a challenge, but if my lawn can look like this, I guarantee you ANYONE can get the same results if you're dedicated. Happy Saturday and enjoy the mow!
