Yeah, 8 weeks before first frost is about when I start. I look for when daytime highs stay below 80F for 3-5 days, but it ends up being pretty close to 8 weeks before first frost. I try to get out on the earlier side, since late October I am battling a lot of leaves and I want the new turf to be established before that happens.
