Can anyone tell me this is...I have a few areas in my lawn like this...Im not sure if its from when I spot treated for weeds a while ago...I can just pull up the dead packed grass

Do you have a dog? Could be dead spots from dog urine.

I do but they dont go in the front where this is

Is this area in shade? Do you water lightly and frequently or heavier and infrequently? Looks kind of fungusy like it is in shade and stays too moist. Either that or a fertilizer burn?

Im only watering 3 times a week in that area... grass is still only 11 weeks old. It is a shady area with only a couple hours of morning sun.

I think it could be because of not enough sunlight and the grass roots staying too moist and rotting a bit. I could be wrong but that was my first thought.

It could be I did cut back on the watering so wr wilp see.
