Hi everyone, firstly I'm from the UK, so I know weather etc is quite different in places.
The end of our April was very warm, 50 to 75f and it's currently sunnyish and 55f.
I purchased some seed online from a company I use for other products, a mix of Rye and 2 x Red Fescues. However after 4 weeks of laying the seed, I've seen very little if any new shoots. I called the company and they have said leave it another few weeks. I've looked on the bag and the seed is 18months old.
I scattered the seed on some topsoil, like I do every year because I have a shady side that always gets moss.
Is the seed off? Can it go off? Have I laid it too early and I should wait for more sunlight?
Thank you in advance
