Hello all

I new to the forum and still a relatively new homeowner but hoping some folks here can provide some advice regarding a new lawn. Last fall I established a new lawn on an older property. Ive removed a number od pine tress, sprayed/killed everything green, tilled the entire yard and reseeded along with a starter fertilizer. The new lawn came up pretty good over all but ever since Ive been fight light green spots and areas where the lawn is turning yellow/brown. I also put down a pre-emergent weed product but that didnt seem to do much. Ive noticed weeds becoming more and more prevalent. Ive also added lime a few times which seems to help but it always comes back. I have a lot of time and money invested and really dont want to lose this lawn. Any advice would be much appreciated!

A soil sample might reveal where the dirt needs are. Sounds like you have taken good steps above ground, maybe it's time to take some good steps underground.

Have you done a soil test? if so what were the results, and how long ago was it taken? There could be quite a few things going on here from a lack of nutrients to the PH being less than ideal.
