Hello,
I am new to the forum and need some advice regarding my St Augustine lawn. I live in central Florida and the grass of choice is St Augustine in my community. I have been using the Scotts app and products with mediocre success. I do my own mowing and edging as my small lot only takes 20minutes to cut and edge. Lot is about 5000sq ft.
Two weeks ago my lawn was looking really nice. Then I had to go away for 4 days on a business trip. Over that time it rained a lot, over 4 inches and its been raining heavily since. This was after a dry spell where everything was dried out. I have irrigation that I used 1-2 times a week with 10min on each zone. Not sure if that is enough but prior to 2 weeks ago, it appeared to be. Came back from my trip and noticed browning/dying of grass and strange striping, like someone mowed a section and missed another. I have no idea what is causing this or what damage this is. Can anyone help me figure this out? Any suggestion are appreciated. I would like to figure this out on my own, but almost to the point of hiring a company to treat it.
Thank you
Cory
