I live in Austin Texas and need some help on improving my yard. One thing I haven't done since I moved in 2 years ago was aerating. So it's mid August and don't understand when I can do these type of things and which is best. I do see some dead grass under my good grass and have a feeling that it may keep fertilizer and water soaking in properly. My grass is in pretty decent shape, but I know it can be better. This can be seen under the good grass.
